Lead Head Jigs Overview

Hutch’s lead head jigs are top-of-the-line and his best sellers. A super-sharp hook, great paint jobs, and a wire worm keeper are included. You just can’t go wrong with these jigs.

1\16 and 3\32 oz come with a #1 hook. 1\8 oz and 3\16 oz have a 1\0 hook. 1\4 through 1\2 oz have a 2\0. 5\8 and 3\4 come with a 3\0. 1, 1½, and 2 oz come with a 4\0 hook.

All lead head jigs come with a wire keeper, which comes out of the actual lead. The wire is kept straight until the color of the day is found. Then, using needle-nose pliers or hemostats, the end is bent in a small “U” shape. Plastic is threaded around the hook and wire to firmly keep your plastic in place. The plastic can easily be removed and re-used again and again without ruining the worm, as a normal round lead head jig with barbs often does.

Custom Shiner Lead Head Jigs

#1 best seller. One-, two- or three-color paint jobs with a very fine, highly reflective glitter sprinkled over the jig after a clear coat is applied. See Colorsheet 1 for examples. Please allow extra time for custom colors, or call for delivery estimates.

Solid Glitter Lead Head Jigs

My personal favorite when it comes to lead head jigs - I don’t go fishing without them. These little jewels really shine in clear water, and can pick up and reflect what little light there is in dirty water. Same great hook and worm keeper. Give 'em a try – I know you’ll come back for more. Because of their finish, eyes are not available on this particular lead head jig style. See Colorsheet 2 for examples.

Live Bait Jigs

Our live bait jig is as good as I believe you can find. With a much larger gap than the standard live bait jig along with a superior hook, you can’t go wrong. These jigs can be tied with feathers, fur, buck, or left plain.

Chenille is also an option to make the body look bigger, if you so desire. For the Walleye waters that require a minnow at all times, this jig is a must.

Plastic Lead Head Jigs

Here’s one for those “Plastic Fisherman” out there. Do you like to run BIG plastics but can’t find a light enough lead head jig with a big enough hook? We've got ya covered with shad bodies and twister tails. They come in 1/16 and 3/32 oz with up to a 2\0 hook, 1/8 and 3/16 oz with a 3\0 hook, and 1/4 and 5/8 oz with a 4\0 hook.
